*Warm-ups will begin 10
minutes after the end of the morning session but not before 11:30 a.m. Split sessions will be used if necessary. Warm-ups will last for
one hour unless split warm-ups are necessary, in which case they
will be extended by 30 minutes. Teams will be notified if split sessions are required. Afternoon session starting time will be 15
minutes after the end of warm-ups but not before 12:45 p.m.
Warm-ups for the Saturday evening session will begin immediately after the end of the afternoon session and will last for 20 minutes.
ENTRY LIMITS:
Swimmers may enter a maximum of
four (4) individual events plus one (1) relay per day. The
meet will be limited to the first 450 swimmers. If a team's entries exceed
this limit, all of this team's entries will be accepted. Entries
will be accepted in the order they are received. If the entry
limit is exceeded, then teams will be rejected in reverse order of
receipt. Teams not accepted will be notified by telephone; entry
fees will be
returned.
Friday
evening's events, except for the 10 & under 200 IM, are limited to the
fastest 24 (3 heats) of each gender. Saturday evening’s 1000 free
will be limited to the fastest 16 (2 heats) of each gender.
Coaches will be contacted regarding entries which do not make a heat
limited event.
ENTRY FEES:
$2.75 surcharge for each
swimmer; $2.25 for each individual event entered; $5.00 for each
relay team.
DECK ENTRIES: Deck
entries will be accepted by the Clerk of Course up to 30 minutes before the published starting time of each session. Cost is $4.50
per individual event and $10.00 per relay -- cash or team check
only, no personal checks. A swimmer who is not previously entered in the meet must also pay the $2.75
surcharge.
Deck entries
for each event will be placed in open lanes in existing heats in the order
in which they are received by the Clerk of Course. New heats will
not be created. There is no guarantee that a deck entry will get
to swim the event and there will be no refund of entry fees. No event will
be reseeded to accommodate a deck entry. A swimmer who scratches
one event and enters another event to replace it will be charged
deck entry fees.
1000 FREE:
The 1000 free will be limited to
the fastest 16 (2 heats) of each gender. Heats will be swum
fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys. It will be deck seeded,
with positive check-in before the start of Event 69 (11-12 200
free relay) in the afternoon session. Deck entries will close at
the same time as for the Saturday afternoon session. Any swimmer who
has checked-in (and not scratched prior to the check-in deadline)
and fails to swim shall be barred from his/her next individual
event. Each swimmer will be required to provide one timer for their heat
and, if desired, a lap counter.
SCORING:
Through 8th place for individual
events and relays. Individual events: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1; Relay
events: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2.
AWARDS:
Ribbons will be given for first
through eighth places in individual events and relays. High point
awards will be given in each age group. Individual points will be earned
only for events swum in that age group. Team awards will be
given to the top three teams based on total points scored.
